Other Projects
Created by: Tucker Shaw
What else have I done?
I am not just a programmer, so I wanted to show off some other projects that I have worked on over the years.
In high school I took part in an Engineering pathway where I learned how to:
- Design & Model 3D Components (Autodesk Inventor)
- Write & Test Assembly Language for VEX Robotics
- Animate 3D Objects (Alice Modeling Software)
- Design & Wire Electrical Diagrams/Parts
- Program in Python/HTML/CSS
I also attended California State University - Long Beach for two years (2018-2020).
I studied Mechanical Engineering where I learned more about 3D modeling and advanced physics.
I worked on a few of the projects showcased below at CSULB.
In my spare time I also enjoy working on projects outside of school such as woodworking.
I built my own desk and bookcases, helped build a fence around a pool, and even put in a coffered ceiling once.
One of my biggest inspirations has been Bob Clagget from I Like to Make Stuff (ILTMS).
Iron Man Gauntlet
One of the coolest projects I worked on at California State University - Long Beach.
I attended a Makers Club workshop where I wired together a 3D-modeled Iron Man gauntlet.
I wore it as a glove and the light turns based on the motion of your hand:
UP -> ON & DOWN -> OFF
Brass Nametag & Holder
One of my last classes at CSULB was Manufacturing Processes.
A really cool project that I worked on was to create a custom nametag out of brass.
I had to use a drill press, belt sander, and CNC to manufacture it.
I even got to keep it afterward!
High School Senior Year Project
My senior year of high school I worked on a project for my Engineering final.
It involved 3D modeling and printing components for a wireless charger to a Playstation controller.
The components included: A solar panel, wireless charging pad, 3D printed mount and board, and a Playstation 4 controller.
